Author, On Air Personality, TV and vlogger, Toke Makinwa, is adding 'actor' to her list of talent.
She took to her Instagram page to announce her major acting debut in Nollywood. According to Makinwa, her role is a major one and not a waka pass role.
The untitled movie won't be her first screen appearance in Nollywood. In 2015, she made a cameo appearance on Funke Akindele's hit TV series, "Jenifa Diaries," sharing a scene with Akindele and Juliana Oyedele.
Toke didn't reveal the title of the upcoming movie, but she did announce that filming kicks off today, August 23, 2017.
"So I'm going to be in a movie guys," she wrote on Instagram.
"No be Waka Pass O. I've had a few cameos here and there in the past and I have a lot of respect for actor film makers. #Issabigdeal. A major productioncoming your way soon and filming starts tomorrow morning.
I feel extremely blessed and highly lifted. So overwhelmed with Gods goodness.
"This year has been soooooo busy and fulfilling guys, God has really opened doors forme and my prayer for everyone out there is that God brings you into your season too.
Don't give up, don't lose hope too. You are closer than you know."
Toke Makinwa is popular for her weekly relationship vlogs. She is also the author of the book "On Becoming; a book that explains her journey through pain to victory.
