According to a scientific research conducted in Germany, clogs which are made from plastic materials are filled with carcinogenic compounds.
In order to prove the research, the scientific team selected ten pairs of clogs made of plastic. They chose the best brands on the market. After the selection, they analyzed them in a laboratory.
Unfortunately, the clogs had more than 60% of PAHs or aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons. These are carcinogenic substances which can lead to cell mutation when the body absorbs them.
When inhaled, these substances are extremely dangerous and they can enter the body through the skin. The research also showed that black clogs had the highest amount of this carcinogen. Nearly 70% or the examined clogs had solvents and heavy metals.
